Fiat 211Rb Gearbox problems

Can anybody help with information on whether gears from a Fiat Car gearbox can be or are used in the gearbox of the little 211Rb. A friend here in Australia has a problem with his top gear missing a few teeth and replacement tractor parts are pretty well unobtainable. Any suggestions, other than having a new gear cut at great expense. Ian Storrie
