That fella selling you a 24V Ford converted it to 24 volts to run his moonshine operation near Loose Tooth, Oklahoma. Reason being that the Feds in that area have a sensitive sound pickup receiver that zero's in on any excessive noise. Those electric stills are as quiet as a churchmouse and you can operate them wherever and whenever you want, even Sunday morning, without anyone even raising an eyebrow. Unless you're in the same business, offer him $2000 and tell him to keep the extra batteries.
