Most tractor clubs have insurance. If you are a
member you are covered. This is through the
National E.D.G.E&T. Association. Our local club
has this policy. It is covered in the cost of the
club dues. I think it is $4.50 a year, but not
sure.It is for One Million dollars coverage, not
much in todays world. There are some benifits to
being in a tractor club. We used to block off the
flat belts with rope. Now we use cattle panels. It
is amazing the number of people that will climb
over, walk up to the flat belt while it is moving
and reach out to touch it. Not sure what the
facination with touching a moving flat belt is,
but it happens. We have run the sawmill for 22
years and no accidents. I have yelled at hundreds
of people warning them to stay away from moving
parts.
