Ron, is a nice tractor, good looking an a hard worker ie:lots of power. I'd ask the same question over on the IH/Farmall board. The plate with serial numbers should be on the right side loacated on the transmission/clutch housing about a quarter of the way down, it will be a black an silver plate with the serial numbers stamped on. If it's missing get the casting numbers off the engine or trans an post them on the IH/Farmall board someone over there can get you the year that way as well. There were about three/four different versions of the 460, the serial number plate will also tell you this information by the letter codes before the serial number ie: what type of engine, pistons, clutch, etc. hope this helps :o)
