I'm no Alan Greenspan when it comes to economics, but as I see it, all economic activity begins with severing something from the Earth by force. All food, all energy sources, all building materials, all clothing materials- from the Earth by force. Put your finger between the jaw teeth of a cow and that will explain one kind of force. Suppose that an economy had only accountants and laundries- both very worthwhile occupations. But the absence of those involved in extracting from the Earth by force would leave them hungry and homeless. Hope I made my point. The Taurus driver probably would not want to be confused with the facts.
