A plow throws dirt to one side. So when you start plowing, you will make a ridge to the right, & a valley on the left. The first time through, you need to set the plow to go deeper on the right side. After that, you put the tractor wheels in the furrow, and plowing is easier. You need to have the plow lined up behind that wheel so the dirt flows properly. You can plow back & forth sort of, either throwing the dirt into a ridge on each side & ending with a furrow (valley) in the middle; or you can throw the dirt into a ridge in the middle as you go around, and end up with a furrow on each side. As you make rounds, you are always going clockwise or counterclockwise in a bigger or smaller round. You are not plowing back & forth right next to the previous 1/2 round. Every other year, you fill in your valleys by plowing in the opposite way. As stated, for 6' I would just make one ridge, and then plow in one direction, coming back empty. --->Paul
