Gentlemen, We thank all of you for your advice and help to change this system. Reading all the comments has given me the direction needed. Seems like a hotter spark is available with a coil system and more reliability? with damp weather. The mag spark i have is weak with new points and condenser at .020" gap. Maybe the internal magnets are weak giving a less than adequate field for the coil. Thanks again. Seems like it was a good question based on the interest it generated. Bob
