I made one of those once for the wife (anniversary present) but it took up far too much room in the kitchen. Plus, it was the darndest thing to keep hung on the wall. Used to pull out the plaster and the wall studs too. Then of course, the inevitable oil leaks and gasoline fumes got a bit dangerous around the cooking stove. Wife made me put it in the machine shed where it probably belongs .... and it still keeps time very well too.
