Used to do short track dirt stock car racing. Radiator damage was a given with the rocks and bumps of close racing. Always carried a can of black pepper in the tool box, it worked better than any of the commercial products. It would plug off a tremendous amount of damage,and allowed me to finish many nights of racing with a radiator that otherwise would have us parked for the night.One added advantage to the pepper stopleak was that it smelled so nice when you removed the cap to check water level :-)) After repairing or replacing the radiator the pepper seemed to flush out of the system without problem. Don't know what it would do to a heater core,as race cars don't have heaters
