Help, Just as I was finishing mowing a couple of days ago, one of my fairly worn (20% or less tread) rear tires on my Massey Ferguson 135 diesel developed a rather severe split, enough that the tube stuck out of it and the tire went flat. My question is if I should get a new set of turf tires, look for a well used tire that sort of matches the other side, or a new set of real rear tractor tires. The tractor is used 99% of the time with a 6' finish mower to mow our 5+ acre yard which is mostly flat; just a few small hills in the front part of the yard. The tires that are presently on it are loaded but I've pretty much made up my mind that I really don't need the extra weight. Maybe two times a year I use a 6' scraper blade to level out the low spots in our 100 yard gravel driveway. Our ground is mostly heavy clay and I have noticed that when it's sort of wet that what I have on it now does leave some tracks in the grass. I guess I'm wondering is if I do go to turf tires to save the yard is if on the few times I have the back blade on it will I have enough traction to do any good? I've got Grandpa's 1949 Farmall H (born the same year as me) with new tires on it in case wifey gets stuck in the driveway. Thanks in advance for your help.

Fortunately when you step into your shop and make that jump 50 years back in time to work with your old tractor, this concept goes out the window. Even so, when it comes to the charging system, people quickly revert to this idea and start replacing the major components one at a time until it works. The reason you don't find any decals in your replacement set wit
