My two cents worth. Several years ago I was scolded by my John Deere parts man for not using John Deere Hydralic Fluid. The same day I was at my fuel suppliers office picking up some oil and told him of my incounter. He was a shell dealer and asked me to come into the office. He showed me a copy of something like the oilman`s news and an article in it stated that Shell had just won the low bid to bottle John Deere oils. So not only was I using the same oil, it was the low bidders oil. What does that say?
