A few years ago my company car was a 1996 Chevy Lumina (new), the first summer I had it when it was hot the engine light would come on. If you ran the AC the engine would get so hot it would miss and cut out, barely able to run the speed limit, had to shut the AC off to drive down the road (not in town driving). Three trips to the dealer later they said there was no problem with the car and there was nothing to fix. I asked if all GM cars run that way, and they said THIS car runs that way. The company sold it a month later.
