I think $1500 is about max,unless it is restored and new paint. I just bought a 1942 for $750. motor smokes, but runs. Has pto, but no hydraulics. 12 volt with good starter. If it was "decent" i would normally go $900- $1200. Does the 1938 have a starter? that could be important to some people.
