if the pump operates at a low psi, say 1100psi, you will only get around 4 tons of cylinder force. might not be enough for the job. I would guess that the lawn application would be a fairly low psi unit (only a guess with out a pressure gauge reading). but anyway, are you sure the old reservoir has enough volume for the larger cylinder? do you hear any changes in hydraulic noise or engine sound as the cylinder stalls?
