ON the Sunstrand/Deere unit we have there's a brass elbow at the bottom front of the transmission which attaches to a tube reaching upward. Instructions from the mfr indicate removing this tube/elbow assembly to drain fluid. Does yours have a similar assembly? Drilling a hole, per the post below could be very problematic! Not recommended! Another suggestion: Does yours have a fill tube at the top? Could you siphon fluid through it with a piece of plastic tubing like aquarium air line?
