Depends what you do with it. I just got a Ford utility tractor, sure am glad I got the standard gear shift. It's what I'm used to. It fits my needs. I prefer the 2 stage clutch. I don't lose 3 hp to the tranny. There are jobs where a hydro is a lot better, but since no one has specified a list of jobs, I would not ever give a blanket recommendation to a hydro tranny. Sounds like the price is pretty good for it, 20 hp isn't much, understand the payload limitations, etc. If you are used to a 4020 with a 6 foot bucket, you will be disappointed in what it can do, but if you've struggled without a loader and have modest requirements you will be surprised how useful it is. :) --->Paul
