I'll start by saying I have no experience with the AC unit. Between the Case and the JD I'd go for the 3020. 1. The synchro tranny that is standard on the 3020's is pretty good for loader work. (Use 2nd, 5th and high reverse) 2. If you can find a 3020 with the 8 speed power shift tranny it is even better. 3. The 3020 is a bit smaller and more nimble than the 1030. 4. I did a lot of haying and loader work on a 4020 and without a cab it was a great haying tractor (visibility with the older style cabs was lousy) 5. The 3020 should be pretty reliable. The only down side is that you have to get used to running the hydraulic on loader with your left hand as most 3020's had the controls on the steering console, not on a side console like the later 30 or 40 series deeres. If I was looking to do more cultivation type work or bush hogging, the 1030 is a more powerful tractor. Lyle.
