Not all diesel and large tractors have wide front.
There are several diesel and larger tractors with narrow front.
I farm on hills with narrow fronts. and feel just as safe as with wide fronts.
As far as setting the rear wheels out , you set them to match your row width.
Mine are all set on 60 inches, because I plant 30 inch rows.
Even my 90hp narrow front diesel is set up for 30 inch rows.
