I'll try to stay away from my personal opinion. Bottom line, it depends on what you are doing with the tractor. Some jobs, hands down wide front is better. Other jobs, hands down narrow is better. For all around, the wide front probably is more suited on an operaters stand point. It is more stable, wheel's moreless travel the same track, gets around better in mud and sand, and so on. Narrow fronts were more less made for row crop farming with smaller equipment. With much larger equipment and the use of farm chemicals, the narrow front ends have become obsalete in most modern day farming. Narrow fronts still have some advantages such as turning sharper and so on. If you find that special job that you can put the advantages of a narrow front to use, you will find that a narrow front is better suited. I mostly prefer wide fronts, but there are a few jobs that I still do with only narrow fronts. My 2 cents worth.
