If you are looking for cheap used tractor, look for a tractor has has live hydraulics and a standard 3 point hitch. Not a Ford fan myself but the oldest one I know of would be a Ford 8N or later similiar tractor. Might want to look for a 60's era utility tractor about 30+ hp. I have a 69 International 2444/444 tractor 40 hp and about 3800 lbs. Something like this would fill your needs, big enough, but not too big. I paid 4,000 for it not long ago with a nice loader on it. It sounds like you will want an additional 4K or so of attachemnts ( used prices) for your tractor. I figure about 10k or so will be as cheap as you can get by with for waht you are talking about. You might want to consider renting a backhoe for the ditching instead of buying one. Good luck and happy shopping.
