Since no one else has responded yet, I'll jump in. It's been awhile since I worked on a 35, but, I'll have one in tomorrow to verify what I say if you need further info. Check th rod on the clutch to see if there is more than one hole. If you go in to it, see if there is a hollow shaft with splines that would go in to the PTO drive shaft. I believe it would be way too much effort to make the changeover so, I suspect that it came with out a live PTO.
