Hello to all. I have a chance to purchase a 1942 John Deere model "LS" 1 cylinder gas engine in almost brand new condition. The little bit of info I have is that this tractor was purchased new by a farmer in nearby Connecticut, kept in a barn when not in use, and was the only person to use it. His brother took it to his home when the farmer died and has been stored for years. The brother reciently spent $ 1,600.00 +/- to restore it so he could sell it (he showed me the reciepts). It comes as a complete tractor with a snow plow, sickel bar mower, double disk harrow and a row plow (for planting?). Stupid question of the day... What is the track record of this model tractor and what would be considered a fair price to pay? Thanks again. Rick
