My advice is to try to find a 'matched set' of equipment from someone 'selling out'. I bought a AC D-14 with a loader, rock box, 2-14 AC plow and a 2-row cultivator (using AC lift arm latches). There was also removable 3-point conversion gear and a 6' blade, bale fork, sickle mower, and a brush mower. Together with a box of spares, it was around $3500, but it was worth it for the convenience of getting it all at once. I still had to get a few things, and fix a few things, so there was still plenty of fun.
