W.O.T. = Wide Open Throttle or WFO (Wound Flat Out ...or... Wide Freaking Open...depends on your generation as to the definition of WFO). When you are pulling hard at a lower RPM you are also turning the water pump and fan at a lower speed and, therefore, lower capacity which compounds the heat being built up by the load. For instance: when pulling a load up-grade with an over-the-road tractor and the engine temp and/or pyrometer heat gets 'critical' the solution is to 'drop a gear' even though you were still in the engines' operating range. As an aside: the 'Flex or RV fan' concept (the fan blades straighten out and produce less drag, and airflow, to give better fuel mileage at high engine rpm) seems exactly opposite to what is needed when you are pulling a steep grade and have to gear down. The lower gear produces more rpm, less airfow due to less road speed AND the fan blades straighten out? Just doesn't compute for me! :-)

Paint is another, the modern acrylic enamels are great for resistance to grease and fuel stains, retaining their shine and they last forever; unlike enamels and lacquers . Still another is the alternator. No doubt using the original generator keeps the tractor pure, but for thos
