I have to agree on most of what you say but I would say 75% of the truck drivers are NOT professional. I drove for Atlas van lines for 14 1/2 years. Grant the DOT was becoming a pain in the rear but I`ve seen alot of disrespect amongst other truck drivers. Thats one of the main reasons I chose to get of the road. I drove from 1975 until 1989 1/2. I had to get off the road. I`ve seen alot of stupid stuff that these particular drivers do today. Maybe the truck driving schools and companys that sponser these schools should look at making professional drivers out of their students instead of looking at the turn around. Who`s going to hire a 21 year old that gets fired from a company who went to their school and didn`t make the grade. (insurance) Most won`t hire unless you have 2 yrs over the road experience and over 25. Sorry for being long winded but thats kinda a sore spot with me.
