here's a corny question for ya

Howdy all,

Sorry bout the pun. I'm sort of contemplating an endeavor in farming right now that I've not yet went into before. We have a good crop of shelled corn each year. We also have an old JD 127 corn picker so I'm looking into raising some regular old ear corn to sell as well. My question is this, what does plain old ear corn sell for? We used to sell ear corn to a fella from my church who owns horses but that's been a good while back and I have no idea what grandad sold it for. I realize this ain't a tractor question but a few equipment purchases are hinging on whether or not I decide to go into it. Well, that's my story. I'm real appreciative of the input y'all have.
