It really sounds like you are running out of gas. You didn;t say whether it was a distillate or straight gas. Distillate has the adjustable load jet in the bottom. Straight gas does not. Take the plug out of the bottom of the carb. This is the very bottom of the bowl. ee how long the gas runs out. After the first spoonful runs out ( the dregs), you can save the rest of it if you want. Run at least a pint out if it runs out. Make sure it doesn't slow down to a dribble. If it continues to run out good, you've got problems in the bottom of your carburetor. Sometimes you can confirm this by either turning the idle all of the way in to force it to bring gas through the idle circuit. (Airplanes don't have chokes. They always crank at idle) or choke it, or both. I pulled one off a 429yesterday twice, knowing there wasn't a problem with it. Just had to answer my question. There wasn't. It was the condenser. I finally confirmed it by pulling the coil wire out of the distributor enough to see thespark jump. When it messed up, but, before it stopped turning, I saw the spark stop. If it had been easy, the man would have fixed it himself.
