I think "mike" said it best.Point of a reserve price is to make sure something gets sold for its accuall value.I would put my Cub up on the auction block with no reserve.If you were the highest bidder at sat150 bucks,and its worth far more than that,Id would have to sell it to you for 150 bucks. Iagree that it can get out of hand somewhat,saw something the other day I gave 25 bucks for at a junkyard and the guy had set a reserve of 100 bucks on the same peice.
