Prior to painting my '53 Super A I washed it with a Hotwash unit (pressure washer with a large water heater on it). It worked wonders though you've got to be careful what you aim it at. If your tractor has a gas engine you may have to leaves it to dry out (several days) before it'll start. Hope this helps. SAm in NS
