the 2470 didnt use the cdc engine.it is a 504 cid genuine case engine.catually the tach probably stopped working if the hours are not correct.however you should be able to how much other wear is on the unit.check the steering wheel for hand impressions,alot of hours means alot of wear on the wheel.I thinl they are a good tractor,worth about 5000
