One of the reasons I enjoy these boards is watching how people treat each other, especially when someone makes a statement that is obviously wrong. Most everyone seems to go out of his way to "let him down easy". You ocassionaly see a less-than-charitable comment, but its usually more of a flicker than a flame. I have made a few wrong statements myself (being a self-taught mechanic means sometimes your education is lacking). Most of the time the correction is appropriately gentle- only had one guy say "You are WRONG"- and I got over it fairly quickly, because, after all, he was correct in what he (perhaps inartfully) said. As to Gary's "Washington" comment, I agree with a previous post that pointed out that no one can see you smile while you speak on these boards. Lets keep that in mind, and continue to have discussions upon which reasonable minds sometimes politely differ.
