Chris, If you havn't any response on your linkage diagrams I can send you a copy from my manual by regular mail. They had a seperate rod fastening into the front of the transmission at the shifter fork cover and went up and operated a stop on the governor. Mine is a 1944 model and I don't know if they only used it on the early ones but mine doesn't have it. It does have the screw and lever on the governor.
