It doesn't work too well to have the tank remote from the tank. The weight of the water traveling through the line butting up against the head of air in the tank will make the water "bounce back" and the pump clicks on and off for awhile as the pressure gauge goes up an down. If it's a "dug" well, you can hang the whole thing with just a small pressure tank over in the well.
