I have been to Quebec many times and am not concerned for my safety. It has never been my experience that the French speaking Quebecers have treated me with anything but the utmost courtesy and hospitality. They like our dollars and they also like us, as far as I can tell. I have heard that they don't particularly get along with English speaking Canadians but I ain't one of them.
I have never had any problem crossing the border in either direction. I have my birth certificate and my "Canada card" for insurance.
What, me worry?
