could be poor wiring r.e. bad connection at the switch. But a healthy blue spark negates some things. SOunds like your coil went bad. Does it start after the tractor has cooled down and set? My advice? Contact Petronix and for 150 bucks with alternator, or 80.00 for the basic 12 v conversion, cut loose all of the wiring, and use their kit. It is easy, the diagram is simple and you are assured of a good conversion. Call andy at Genessee Products. This way, your not cobbling together a cobbled 12v conversion and guessing if it was done right or not. Has your fuel flow and sediment bowl been cleaned out? 90% of carb and fuel problems are usually ignition problems.
