I would keep it as long as you can keep it from deterorateing more. It can be a long term project. Even if you only work on it a few hours a month, it can still be enjoyable and someday you may have more time, or your kids may take an interest in it and you will have a fun project all can enjoy too. Keep it. You will always regret selling it. You will get it going someday. Just take peices and work on it one step at a time. If you get the engine into your basement or shop you can do that one step at a time too.
