I live in Southern Wisconsin and have the field in crp. I have been told by the people at our local ag. agency that I should burn it off every 2 to 3 years. I have it brush hogged down to about 1 foot high and have informed my local fire department. I don't know if they will send a truck or not. If everyone shows up that I asked to help I will have more like 22 people. Anyway thanks for some of the good advice and I'll post on Monday and let you know how it went.
