Your best bet if you have that kind of cash would be to borrow about that much again. Go to an equipment auction and buy a nicer machine. $12-24K will buy a fairly decent Case or JD. Do the jobs you have to do then resell the machine. The amount of work you are talking about will not put much wear on it and it will be worth about what you paid for it. If you are a shrewd buyer you may get MORE! Cities, countys and towns often sell good machines reasonably. In the price range you are looking at all you are going to get is something that needs a bunch (read that expensive)of work. You WILL end up spending the amount of money I am talking about and all your time will be spent working ON the machine not WITH it!! A hoe is an expensive and heavy machine to work on for a homeowner. At twice the money you at least stand a chance of buying a fairly decent machine.AND having something worth $$$ when you are done. Not a wore out machine that YOU had to do a couple expensive repairs to it and needs at least that much more!!! The Voice of Experience has spoken!
