My Dad had a JD 2510 that was prone to blowing out the power steering block just under the cowling. We must have gone through 5-6 of them before he decided that maybe it was the shop doing the repairs that wasn't fixing the problem. He came up with that idea after he overheard the dealer commenting to someone else that "his damn kid (ME) turns to hard at the end of the field".
So after a moment of rage he took it to a different dealer the next time it popped and they found the whole system had twice the amount of pressure on it as was called for. It never blew out again after that, and about a year later as coincidence would have it the first dealer went out of business.
