As for film cameras I have had a Minolta X-370 for about 15 yrs now and it still takes better pics than the Minolta Maxxum I bought ( or maybe I am a little partial to the old one...) If your looking at a Advantix film camera or one of the compact 35mm I would suggest going with most any of the name brands ones as any of them will do a good job also.
