I've worn hearing protection since my flight line days in the 60's. I run tractors, backhoe, grinders, power miter box, hammer drills, etc. all with a good set of muffs. (Plugs bother my ears) When I shoot large bore pistols indoors I use plugs inside the muffs. Minimum hearing loss after 40 years of industrial noise. By the way, I've lost count of the number of time that my glasses have saved me a trip to the emergency room. Use em both.
