Seems to me the wide front ends are only more stabil beginning at the point where the front suspension hits the tilt stops when it tips. Wellll... not really. The distance from the ground to the wide front end pivot point will make it more secure than the narrow tipping from the tire contact point on the tri gear. That would in effect move the mass above the pivot point closer making it harder to tip.
Been wrong before, will be again.....
