I had some work done on it when I first got it (a check-up) and the mechanic (not overly skilled with JD specifically)said it seemed to mix a bit rich. Would that explain the gas smell and smoke? Should I attempt to adjust the carb (how)? I need to be able to plow this week unless I am nearing the death of this engin. Any advise would be appreciated. Eric
