This topic has been argued to death, and arguments by 'experts' have supported both sides.

Personally, my view is that the tricycle fronts may be slightly more prone to rollovers, mostly because they can turn much tighter. If the operator is careless enough to try to spin the tractor around on it's inside rear while on a slope, then yup, stupidity is going to lead to an accident. Big surprise there, eh?

The only other argument that I personally subscribe to against narrow fronts is that that are NOT particularly well suited to loader applications, both because of the increased possibility of tipping and the weaker underpinnings generally.

For me, the increased manuverability more than offsets any risks, and I live on a relatively rough patch in Maine.

I suspect I'll get blasted for my point of view, standard disclaimers apply.
