Hey Wally G.....you ever owned a Select-O-Speed or have you just "heard" horror stories? Damn good tranny if well taken care of and adjusted properly. In fact, probably the best tranny for all around work. Tim, don't be scared of an SOS just take the time to make certain it is in good working order. A 600/601 800/801 series tractor would do you just fine for your intentions.
