Hey there Ben, That soil may be that hard, but i'll bet you my Howard is up to the task. I've taken out some "very hard packed" driveways, includeing some with cinders, and crushed concrete. I've also taken out very hard packed (compacted) gravel driveway that the guy couldn't get out with his 2wd Massey and loader untill i made a pass!! He'd scrape up the rotavated gravel, and i'd make another pass!! There's NO money in those jobs, but you have to take the bad with the good!!! Maybe rotavateing that clay after a rain would help??? (I've used that idea a few times too) Haveing said that, you make an even bigger case to "stay away" from a cheaper garden tiller!!! BTW, what are you going to grow in soil that's "that" hard packed??? NOT much if it stays that way!! Robert
