Kurt, I bought a TC29 about 2-1/2 years ago. It is the same tractor as the TC30, just a little fancier. The TC30 was introduced as an "economy" tractor to compete with the JD 790. I've had great luck with my TC; I built a CadPlans backhoe for it and also finish mow with it in the summer months. Also the usual field mowing, plowing & discing. It seems to be durable enough; the only issue I've heard of is breaking frames with heavy backhoe use. The engine and drivetrain components are all Japanese, made by Shibaura. It is a 3 cylinder diesel. They are assembled in Georgia; I suppose some of the components are domestic. The best place to get information on the compact tractors is the Compact Tractor Board, I'll attach a link. Bill
