If you are able to sell it for one dollar then you have made more profit than giving it to the junk man. If you don't want profit then you can give it to a collector instead of a junk man. You could make one person happy and get rid of it at the same time.

(If someone questions my motivs in saying this I'll say that I'm not a collector and I don't want the tractor in question. I just hate to see old stuff thrown away.)
