That's always been a wonderment to me- I can see having a disagreement as to whether the fenders are "good" or "fair"- but a part is either there or its not, and I've seen countless episodes just like yours, where major parts are missing that were not disclosed. Did he think you were just going to say "that's OK" and buy it anyhow? Seems like human nature to me to pass on something that was misrepresented, when you might have bought it if presented fairly.
