I guess the real trick would be to get the pto RPM up high enough to replace the "normally" 3,600 rpm most pumps are designed for. Your right, even a small tractor would have plenty of hp to power a pump!!
I have a pressure washer, but i like this fairly low pressure high volume pump a lot better. It really eats the dirt and mud away from equipment. I can stand back and let the water do the trick, or better yet, let someone else hold the hose! :>)
